OUR APPROACH FOR PETITIONS

How we engage with elected officials or multi-national corporations is quite similar. The key lies in the response, as it often reveals the level of transparency and can determine the success of the petition. Our expertise encompasses various aspects, including writing petitions for public causes and utilizing our experience in data science, logistics, efficiency, and strategies to find effective solutions.

OUR PETITION STRATEGY

We must remember that governance is not an exact science. It is a theory that, while effective for a period of time, lacks the efficiency and robust system of checks and balances necessary to prevent conflicts of interest, corruption, abuse, and wasteful spending. This is why governance by the people is essential, and that is our approach.

While our petitions may be directed towards achieving our goals, it is important to consider who we address these petitions to and request responses from. This transparency is crucial in order for us to make informed decisions when casting our votes.

THE PROCCESS OF OUTREACH

Drafting our petitions is just the beginning of the Petition Watch process. The real work begins once we gather enough signatures to validate the need for an official response. We then engage with legislators, fostering open communication and consistently following up with their offices to emphasize the importance of addressing the concerns raised by the petitions, as it is crucial for representatives to acknowledge the voices of the people who have exercised their right to vote.

OFFICIAL RESPONSES

One of the primary goals of each petition is to receive an official response, which helps document both support and opposition for our causes. Though not all news may be positive, the official responses we receive provide us with the reassurance that our votes are well-informed and can make a meaningful impact.

DEALING WITH OPPOSITION

While we appreciate the support of our petitions, facing opposition, although disappointing, ultimately leads to more transparency regarding where our votes should be placed. Opposition typically manifests as a lack of response or direct written opposition, and individuals demonstrating these qualities are not the political candidates or incumbents we would feel comfortable entrusting with our votes.

ADVANCING THE MISSION

We the People are the ultimate authority in our governance. Unfortunately, politicians have neglected their primary responsibility for too long, engaging in excessive spending and violating the rights of citizens to serve their own interests. This is why our mission becomes clearer. It is our duty, as We the People, to come forward and demand change. Our votes, our choices, and ultimately, if elected officials do not uphold the Constitution, they are not fulfilling their Oath of Office and are therefore unfit to serve the public.

While Petition Watch is in the midst of its growth stage, your support and contributions are crucial. Our work is time-consuming and involves the efforts of volunteers in outreach, as well as expenses for printing and potentially hiring counsel to present our positions to legislative bodies or courts.
